SCORPIONS: iTunes Version Of 'Sting In The Tail' To Include Bonus Track
March 17, 2010SCORPIONS — known worldwide for their mega, arena hard rock and over 100 million records sold — will travel the globe one last time on the "Get Your Sting And Blackout" tour. Kicking off the North American leg in June, the tour will take the band across the U.S. all summer and continue on around the world with special guests supporting along the way. To thank their loyal fans for their 40-plus years support, the band — Klaus Meine (vocals),Matthias Jabs (lead guitar),Rudolf Schenker (guitar),James Kottak (drums) and Pawel Maciwoda (bass) — has helped create a special promotion with the iTunes Store. Starting this week, iTunes customers have the opportunity to pre-order the new and final SCORPIONS album, "Sting In The Tail", until March 22. Fans who pre-order the album on iTunes will receive a unique code to exclusively pre-purchase tickets to U.S. tour dates via Ticketmaster.

"Sting in the Tail" will be released March 23 via Universal Music Group and is already #48 on iTunes album chart. The final album features the anthemic single "Raised On Rock" which is already #10 on the Mediabase classic rock chart, #2 most added for mainstream radio and steadily climbing.
On "Sting in the Tail", the band adds to their remarkable list of hits with "Raised On Rock", the ballad "Lorelei" which shares the story of a German legend, and "The Good Die Young", which Meine says is "about people who stand up for peace and freedom… in a world that gets out of balance more and more every day, we try to put this feeling into music."
